► The journey of Saint Maurice
The Priory of Senlis, a vestige still standing of a complex that has now disappeared, was built by the pious king Louis IX, who wanted to bring the story of Saint-Maurice d’Agaune to France and share it with others, in order to preserve its relics. This mapping offers a visual graphic narrative of the myth of Saint-Maurice, from his departure from Egypt in the year 300, to the arrival of the relics in Senlis in 1262.
